The Newspaper, which monitored the APC House of Representatives Primary Election exercise held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, across the 27 Local Government Areas of Imo State, observed that the elections were conducted in several areas under the supervision of the party’s Electoral Committee members.
Following the conclusion of the exercise, The Pressman Newspaper gathered that some aspirants have reportedly emerged as candidates for the ten (10) Federal Constituency seats in Imo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The names of the aspirants said to have emerged are as follows:

Meanwhile, indications suggest that some aggrieved aspirants may approach the party’s appeal committee to challenge aspects of the exercise, a development that could still affect the final outcome in some constituencies.
