…Says the Move Will Align Enugu State with the Power at the Center for Greater Development, Pledges Full Support to Foster Enugu’s Growth and the Reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
The Coalition of Southern Nigeria Youth Groups for Asiwaju 2027 (COSONYGA-2027), a leading youth coalition championing the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has extended its heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on his recent defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued in Abuja and signed by the Executive Director of the Coalition, Rt. Hon. Rikki Nwajiofor, the youth body described Governor Mbah’s decision as visionary, patriotic, and development-driven, stating that it marks a new dawn for Enugu State in terms of political collaboration and developmental alignment with the Federal Government.
Rt. Hon. Nwajiofor noted that “Governor Peter Mbah’s defection is a strategic and progressive step that will open Enugu State to increased federal attention, infrastructural development, and economic empowerment programs, under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu”.
“Governor Mbah’s decision to join the APC is a testament to his commitment to the prosperity of Enugu State and the welfare of its people. By aligning the state with the government at the center, His Excellency has positioned Enugu for greater access to federal projects, enhanced partnership in security and agriculture, and expanded opportunities for youth empowerment and industrial growth.”
The Coalition further commended Governor Mbah for demonstrating political maturity and foresight, emphasizing that his move transcends party politics and reflects a genuine desire to fast-track the development of Enugu State.
“This is a commendable and patriotic move. It shows that Governor Peter Mbah is more concerned about the progress of Ndi Enugu than partisan divides. The APC-led Federal Government has proven its commitment to inclusive development, and Enugu State stands to benefit immensely from this new alignment,” Rt. Hon. Nwajiofor added.
He reaffirmed the coalition’s readiness to collaborate with Governor Mbah and his administration in mobilizing young people across the Southern region, especially in Enugu state, to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, while ensuring a united front toward the 2027 reelection victory.
